Characteristics and application of sealing tape

Sealing tape is also called bopp tape, packaging tape, etc. It is based on BOPP biaxially oriented polypropylene film and uniformly applies pressure-sensitive adhesive emulsion after heating to form an adhesive layer ranging from 8 μm to 28 μm. It is an indispensable product in the life of light industrial enterprises, companies and individuals.

The characteristics of sealing tape:

1, strong viscosity, strong toughness. Smooth, labor-saving and not easy to break, packing and sealing boxes are stronger.

2. The sealing tape adopts excellent reinforced paper core to avoid express extrusion deformation.

3. It is used for packing, sealing and sealing, with high sealing degree and high firmness.

4. The sealing tape has strong tensile strength, tensile strength, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, and reliable quality.

Application of sealing tape:

Tape used to close or seal corrugated boxes. It consists of a pressure sensitive adhesive coated on a backing material, which is usually a polypropylene-polyester film having strength in both the long (machine) and transverse directions. In most cases, the tape width is 48mm (about 2 inches), but it is also used for a width of 72mm (about 3 inches).

Box sealing tape is most commonly used as a closure for conventional slotted containers (RSCs). Apply a "single strip" or "center seam" cover over the center seam of the box extending 50-75mm (2-3 inches). The sealing tape is usually transparent or tan (beige, light yellow, brown).

The sealing tape can be used as a "six-strip" seal or "H-strip" by applying cross strips at the ends of the box ". This feature can be used when relatively weak tape is used or when additional box reinforcement is required.
